My Aqua Cube – Our Source

UNPARALLELED QUALITY, REFRESHING NATURAL TASTE

My Aqua Cube Source

My Aqua Cube is pure European artesian water from deep beneath the earth’s surface within the Neusiedler See Seewinkel European National Park in central Europe. This special area has been protected by European governments since 1901 and recognized for it’s curative waters and natural springs since the 16th century.

The deep underground river's journey begins at the nearby world famous Swiss Alps located in the heart of Europe. It takes thousands of years for the water to naturally filter into the vast underground-insulated springs. As it penetrates through the ancient terrestrial layers, which are millions of years old, our water is enriched by alkaline elements that provide unparalleled freshness and clean taste. My Aqua Cube European Artesian Water is bottled at the source to maintain that natural freshness and taste.

The Balf – History

Balf is an almost 1,000 year old settlement in the westernmost corner of Hungary. This wonderful place lies within the area of the Fertő/ Neussiedlersee which is one of the United Nations’ World Heritage Sites. Relics from the year 180 AD prove that this settlement was already known for its curative and natural water springs during the Roman Empire.

Though the chronicles constantly talk about life in the medieval settlement, the springs only became the center of attention in the middle of the 16th century. The spring catchments were then defined according to the plans of Austrian experts, the salient sulphurous water was caught by pipes, and the first spa was built. A manuscript written in 1631 widely popularized it as a health resort. Even at that time, it was known that the water was this region has beneficial effect on health and because of this, it was suitable as a drinking water for cures.

The Balf – History

The real development of the health resort came with the construction of the railway station in 1876. To satisfy its growing demand, the spa was reconstructed and a hotel and medical pavilions were built in 1898 - the year of the Hungarian Millennium – and in the following years. In the year 1900, private bottling of the water commenced. It was particularly recommended to persons with gastric problems. In 1901, protection of the curative waters of the Balf spa was introduced.

The alkaline, lightly sparkling lithium medicinal water found in Balf is used in drinking cures, while the spa has been a popular and curative resort for a long time due to its hydrosulphide water. This was already known during the Roman Empire, and according to archaeological finds, the water springs of the Balf area were well known and used for their beneficial effects.
